Redwood: Use Redwood-Style Definition Required Notifications
This feature enhances the user experience by aligning with Redwood styles and standards. You can now receive definition required notifications in Redwood style for new item requests (NIR) when you're the assignee. This is supported in both the in-app and email notifications.
The following attributes are available in notifications:
- Organization
- New Item Request Number: Link that opens the new item request definition details on a new page
- Description
- Assignee
- Assigned Date
- Approval Status
- Need-By Date
- Priority
- Reason
- Task Number
- Step Sequence Number
In addition, you'll see the following attributes in notifications:
- Item Number
- Task Status
When the number of new items that require definition exceeds 25, you'll see a 'More Items' link. Click the 'More Items' link to view the complete list of items and tasks.

This feature benefits your business by providing NIR notifications in a familiar and consistent Redwood format.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Tips And Considerations
- After you opt in, the application automatically uses the new predefined Oracle Analytics Publisher template. No further action is needed to enable this notification.
- You need to navigate to New Item Request definition page to review task details and make updates.
- The Add comments and Add attachments are only recorded on the definition notification, they aren't recorded on New Item Request object.

You should have one of the following privileges:
- View New Item Request (EGO_VIEW_NEW_ITEM_REQUEST_PRIV) or
- Manage New Item Request (EGO_MANAGE_NEW_ITEM_REQUEST_PRIV)
