Refine Requisition Search Using Requester or Preparer Email

You can now refine your search results for requisitions using the Requester or Preparer Email filters on the My Requisitions page of the Redwood Self Service Procurement application. Before this update, you could search requisitions using Entered By or Requester filters on the My Requisitions page. However, if there were identical names, only one instance would be displayed, making it necessary to apply additional filters to pinpoint the requisitions for the specific user you were looking for.

Now, you can use the email address of these users to refine your search results further. The two additional filters to use are:

  • Entered by Email
  • Requester Email

Here is an illustration:

Using these additional filters helps quickly search requisitions for specific users.

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Offering: Procurement

If you want to use the Refine Requisition Search Using Requester or Preparer Email feature, then you must opt in to one or both of these features:

  • Enable the Redwood Version as the Default Self Service Procurement Application: Makes the Purchase Requisitions (New) work area available to all your users, and hides the Purchase Requisitions work area from all your users.
  • Procure Goods and Services Using the Redwood Self Service Procurement Application: Keeps the Purchase Requisitions work area available to all your users, and makes the Purchase Requisitions (New) work area available to the users who are assigned this privilege: Manage Requisition with the Redwood Self Service Procurement Application (POR_MANAGE_REQ_WITH_PWA_PRIV).

If you’ve already opted in, then you don’t have to opt in again.

Tips And Considerations

  • You can search for a specific email within the filter using any keywords. A 'Contains' search will return relevant matching results.
  • Both of the new filters will be available when you select the More Filters action.
  • One exception scenario to consider: If you are the preparer of a requisition (for example, Clare Furey), the first time you access "My Requisitions," you will see requisitions filtered by the "Entered By" option, which will include only your entries. However, if you remove the filter or change it to a different user and then switch it back to your name, the system may show results for other users with the name Clare Furey. To refine your results further, you can use the "Entered By Email" filter.
