Redwood: Search for Planning Data More Efficiently Using Advanced Capabilities
This update delivers a more powerful and user-friendly search experience, enabling you to quickly locate relevant information with greater precision and ease. New capabilities include displaying level and dimension names in keyword searches, separating suggested filters for organizational contexts, grouping filters by dimension, and supporting single-character searches within suggested filters. These enhancements simplify complex searches, improve filter clarity, and accelerate data access, empowering you to make timely and informed decisions with confidence.
In Oracle Supply Chain Planning's Redwood user experience, search functionality allows you to efficiently find, filter, and manage supply chain data with enhanced keyword matching, comprehensive filters, and saved search options. This common Redwood component ensures consistent search behavior across different modules and helps users quickly access relevant information such as items, locations, or planners.
With this release, the search capability is enhanced with the following capabilities:
- Search results display level and dimension name in keyword search along with member names.
Search Results Across Dimensions and Levels
The search feature improves the autosuggest that displays suggestions as you type in the global search bar for keyword searches. These suggestions are categorized into suggestion groups such as organization, resource or within the dimension levels to help you find relevant planning members quickly.
In the example above, the keyword M2 shows matching suggested search results in Organization and Resource dimensions, and resource member names in work area and work center.
- Groups in filter criteria contain criteria for searching an organization in Resource and Organization dimensions
Filters menu
This allows for search to be contextualized for the dimension it is being searched in.
For example, searching for organization member within resource dimension in the search criteria restricts the search within the Resource dimension.
- Search in the global search bar and in suggested filters are now responsive to single letter keyword search criteria. Prior to this release, a minimum of two letters were required before the search results could be populated.
