Use the Product Category from the XML Fiscal Document for Tax Determination

Record and use the actual product category tax determinant value from the XML fiscal document, instead of defaulting to the value from the source document for tax computation.
 
As part of the Brazil's upcoming tax reforms, new tax classification codes for the Selective Tax (cClassTribIS), and for the new taxes—IBS (Imposto sobre Bens e Serviços) and CBS (Contribuição sobre Bens e Serviços) were added in the XML fiscal document under the tag (cClassTrib). 
 
With this new 25D update, instead of defaulting the value for tax from the source document, the Product Category tax determinant now stores both classification codes as entered in the XML and uses them in fiscal document processing. This allows users to define tax setup more precisely based on the actual tax classification from the XML, improving compliance and tax accuracy.

Tips And Considerations

  • Ensure you have setup the Product Category tax determinant with the actual values you expect in the XML fiscal document.
  • If the values are invalid, the fiscal document will not be processed. An appropriate error message will be displayed, requiring manual intervention.
