Redwood: Inspect Received Goods Using Industrial Handheld Devices
With this feature, a receiving agent can now use an industrial handheld device to perform inspections of received goods directly at the point of receipt. The device supports scanning of relevant barcode data using either an integrated camera or a device-based scanner. These capabilities are built using Oracle’s Redwood design principles, delivering a modern, responsive, and intuitive user experience.
The receiving agent can use the Inspect Received Goods task in Inventory Execution to perform inspections through the following flows:
- Inspection by sample, including support for multi-sample selection
- Inspection by inspection characteristic

Enter Results for Multiple Samples at One Time
In addition, the receiving agent can:
- Add comments to inspection results
- Attach supporting files, for example, photos and documents
- Reference the gauge or measuring device used for each result (if enabled)
- Automatically trigger quality actions through action rule execution, when applicable

Steps to Enable
- Follow the Steps to Enable listed in the Receiving feature Redwood: Inspect Received Goods Using a Mobile Device.
- There is no additional setup required on the Quality Inspection Management side given that the appropriate Receiving inspections plans have been defined and that the Receiving Parameters for the given organization(s) has been set to "Use quality inspection plan".
Tips And Considerations
Electronic Records and Electronic Signatures are not available when performing inspections using handheld devices.
