Redwood: Release Pick Waves by Sales Order Type

Sales order types in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management provide a powerful classification system, allowing you to categorize and manage various sales orders according to their specific operational and business needs. These order types play a crucial role in helping define the processes related to order processing, fulfillment, and accounting within your organization. In this update, you can utilize a specific sales order type to release pick waves, ensuring that any unique picking requirements are seamlessly integrated into the order fulfillment process.

You can now select the Sales Order Type when creating a new pick wave release rule.

Steps to Enable and Configure

The Sales Order Type field is hidden by default on the pages Pick Wave Release Rule (set up), Pick Wave, and Outbound Shipment Request. To make this field visible, create a business rule using the VBCS page. The field can be found in the Order section with the name SourceOrderTypeCode.
