Download and Manage Change Order Errors Using an Excel Template

You can now download, review, and manage change order errors, change order headers, and change order lines data using a predefined Microsoft Excel template. In addition, you can use the template to cancel change orders or change order lines in bulk.

You can download the predefined Microsoft Excel template from the Change Order Errors tab of the External Purchase Prices page. This predefined template uses the Oracle Visual Builder Add-in for Excel to download all change order errors and change order data (header and lines) from External Purchase Prices to a spreadsheet.

Prior to this update, you could review change order errors only from the Change Order Errors tab of the External Purchase Prices page. With this update, you can streamline the management of change order errors, resulting in significant productivity gains. By downloading the errors to a predefined template, you can efficiently review, analyze, and address large volumes of errors. This improves the error resolution time and reduces manual effort. Additionally, the ability to cancel change order lines across multiple change orders in bulk greatly simplifies the error-handling process. All these improvements help minimize operational bottlenecks, reduce the risk of user error, and support smooth and efficient workflows when managing high volumes of change orders.

Steps to Enable and Configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

The Change Order Errors tab in the downloaded template is read-only; no actions can be performed from this tab. You can cancel change orders from the Change Order Headers tab, while both the cancel and uncancel actions are available on the Change Order Lines tab.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can use this feature:

  • Manage External Purchase Prices Mappings (SCH_MANAGE_EXTERNAL_PURCHASE_PRICES_MAPPINGS_PRIV)
  • View External Purchase Prices Mappings (SCH_VIEW_EXTERNAL_PURCHASE_PRICES_MAPPINGS_PRIV)
