Import large numbers of rate plans for price lists

Use file-based data import to import or update a large number of rate plans for subscriptions. Import them for your price lists, and import them in any unit of measure.

Pricing administrators can use the new rate plan worksheet in the price list import batch template to load rate plan records. They can also load charges for a rate plan. 

Use this template to:

  • Create, update, or link rate plans by using CREATE, UPDATE, or NO-OP operations.
  • Define a rate plan with its source identifiers, name, description, and effective dates.
  • Create one-time, recurring, and usage charges for a rate plan.
  • Include usage charge details, such as usage UOM, charge period, quantity attributes, and quantity UOM attributes.
  • Capture rate card details for a usage charge.

Try it out

  1. In the QP_RATE_PLANS_INT worksheet, enter the rate plan’s source identifiers, name, and start date. 
  2. Select CREATE, UPDATE, or NO-OP for the rate plan operation.
  3. In the QP_PRICE_LIST_CHARGES_INT worksheet, set the parent entity type to ORA_RATE_PLAN and provide the parent source ID.
  4. Enter the charge details for a one-time, recurring, or usage charge.
  5. For a usage charge, enter the usage UOM and charge period.
  6. If there are multiple usage charges, then specify the quantity attribute and quantity UOM attribute. 
  7. For usage charges that are based on a rate card, enter the base price matrix ID. Specify the dimensions for the rate card in the QP_MATRIX_DIMENSIONS_INT worksheet, and enter the rules in the QP_MATRIX_RULES_INT worksheet.
  8. Generate the CSV files, and import the rate plan data.
