Retain column personalizations for table layouts on Purchasing pages

Retain table column personalizations made through the table organizer when managing purchasing documents using Redwood pages. Before this update, retention of these personalizations depended on browser settings.

Column personalizations, including showing, hiding, reordering, and resizing columns, are now saved on the server. This ensures your preferred table layout is available across browser sessions, browsers, and devices. Your personalized column settings remain available even when you:

  • Clear your browser cache.
  • Switch between browser tabs.
  • Use a different browser.
  • Sign out and sign back in.
  • Access the application from another device.

This enhancement applies to the tables used by buyers to search, view, edit purchase orders and purchase agreements, and to process requisition lines.

If your organization has published Oracle Visual Builder Studio personalizations for table columns, those personalizations continue to determine the default table layout. You can further personalize the table using the Column organizer, and your personalizations are saved and retained independently of the published defaults.

This feature helps buyers and procurement requesters work more efficiently by preserving their preferred table layouts across sessions, browsers, and devices.

Steps to enable and configure

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Tips and considerations

  • This feature doesn't apply to supplier users.
  • When you enable this feature, previously saved device-based personalizations are reset according to business rule configurations, so you must reapply existing column personalizations.
  • Server-side column personalizations may require a browser refresh to appear for the first time in a different browser or session.
