Access the intake request from the negotiation
Use the Intake Request number on negotiation pages to trace the negotiation back to the intake request that created it. When the outcome of an intake request is a sourcing negotiation, the originating request reference appears in the draft negotiation on Overview and Lines and Review and Publish, and in the View Negotiation. You can select the number to open the intake request details when you have the required access.
The originating intake request number also remains available when you create an amendment or create a new round. The reference continues to point to the original intake request, helping you preserve traceability across negotiation changes. The intake request number appears only when the negotiation is derived from an intake request whose outcome is Sourcing Negotiation.

This feature provides traceability between procurement intake and sourcing execution. Category managers can quickly identify the intake request that led to a negotiation and navigate back to the request details when they need additional business context.
Steps to enable and configure
To view intake request reference in negotiations, you must enable the Initiate procurement activities with Intake Requests opt in within the Purchasing functional area under the Procurement offering, if it is not already enabled.
Tips and considerations
The intake request number is not displayed to suppliers and it's not shown in the negotiation PDF for buyers or suppliers.

Access requirements
Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains any of these existing privileges and who meet any of the following data security conditions can open the originating intake request from negotiation pages.
