Update billing information for Service Profiles
You can now update the billing information for service profiles from the service profile details page.
Agents and other authorized users are able to update the billing information for a service profile based on customer information defined in ERP. This facilitates billing for services that are provided for the given site and allows agents working with customers to make changes at the customer's request. Editable billing information includes the Bill-to Customer, Bill-to Customer Account, and Bill-to Address, as well as the Billing Business Unit.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
A new field for the billing business unit has also been added. This field is required to identify the address set used in ERP to identify the list of valid bill-to addresses for the corresponding field on the service profile.
New customers and existing customers using the out of box layout will automatically see the bill-to fields as editable in the out-of-box layout.
Customers that have duplicated their layout in Visual Builder Studio prior to 25B will continue to see read-only fields on their duplicated layout. This can easily be changed by
- selecting the new, editable field template corresponding to each field in Visual Builder (billToCustomerTemplate_Edit, billToCustomerAccountTemplate_Edit, and billToCustomerSiteAddressTemplate_Edit)
- adding the new billing business unit field to the layout as well (the bill-to address requires the business unit to derive the list of valid addresses)
