Dispatch Console List View Position Persistence

Effective from 25B, the Dispatch Console Activity List View preserves the current position within the list, when possible, to help prevent Dispatchers from losing focus after navigating away or refreshing the page.

The vertical position of the List View within the Dispatch Console is now preserved in the following cases:

  • When navigating to activity details and returning to the List View.
  • When refreshing the list of activities, either manually or automatically.
  • When navigating to other screens without changing the selected resource, filters, or date, and then returning to the List View.
  • When changing which columns are displayed in the List View using the "Manage Columns" screen.
  • When opening or closing the split panel.
  • When moving activities using drag-and-drop or through the Assignment Assistant.
  • When performing group changes or group cancellations.
  • When restoring the session after a period of inactivity.

The vertical position is not preserved when there is a change in the criteria used to select activities, such as:

  • Selected filters.
  • Selected resource.
  • Selected date.
  • Column used for sorting.

Additionally, the vertical position is not preserved when:

  • Closing and reopening the window.
  • Signing out and signing in.

The toast message in the bottom right corner has been updated to reflect the "currently visible activities on the screen" while scrolling up or down, instead of showing "the number of currently loaded activities from the server out of the total number of activities."

Business Benefit

  • Retains focus within the List View while investigating activity details.
  • Enables more frequent automated refreshes without losing focus on the current task.
  • Reduces the amount of clicking and scrolling required while managing or reviewing activities.
