Support automated archival of Service Requests

A new automation has been introduced to streamline the lifecycle of Service Requests (SRs) by automatically archiving eligible SRs once they meet defined business criteria. This reduces manual effort, improves system performance, and ensures that only active and relevant SRs remain readily accessible.

  • Eliminates manual archival tasks, saving time for data administrators

  • Improves search efficiency and reporting accuracy by reducing clutter from inactive service requests

  • Enhances system performance by maintaining a leaner active service request dataset.

  • Ensures compliance with organizational retention and data governance policies

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature you need to log a Service Request (SR).

This feature is under controlled availability.  Therefore, please contact Oracle for assistance.

Tips And Considerations

  • Service Requests are evaluated against configurable rules, such as status, resolution date etc.

  • Eligible service requests are automatically moved to archival storage

  • Archived requests remain accessible for audit and compliance needs but are excluded from day-to-day operational workflows

  • The archival process can be scheduled to run at periodic intervals, requiring no user intervention
