Assignment Assistant Enablement & Overnight Scheduling

Starting with the 25D release, Oracle Fusion Field Service uses Assignment Assistant exclusively for moving activities, replacing the previous Move page and removing related user permissions. The updated Assignment Assistant page offers improved overnight usability by allowing you to scroll beyond midnight and manage activities extending into the next day, streamlining the handling of 24/7 operations.

  • Overnight Support:
    • Assignment Assistant allows you to scroll forward beyond midnight if activities extend into the next day.
    • Scrolling is permitted up to 24 hours into the following day to accommodate overnight and 24/7 operations.
  • High Activity Volumes:
    • Visit page displays up to 100 activities per resource; any additional activities that are assigned are indicated with the And [x] more message.
    • For resources with over 200 activities, Assignment Assistant displays the number of activities moved instead of showing the detailed routes.
  • Activity Move User Interface:
    • Assignment Assistant fully replaces the Move page for all activity reassignment tasks.
    • The user type permission Use Assignment Assistant On Dispatch Console is removed to simplify the configuration.
