Move Capacity Categories Configuration to Quota-Capacity Workflow

Starting with 26B, Capacity Category settings are available directly on the Quota page through a dedicated button, alongside Quota and Capacity settings. You can manage these settings without requiring broad Configuration access or additional privileges. Terminology across Quota screens has also been updated to improve clarity and align with Oracle standards.

To access these settings:

  1. Open the Quota page.
  2. Click the Configuration icon.
  3. Select the parent element of the Capacity Areas.

From there, you can:

  • Define measurement units.
  • Set the number of hours per day.
  • Configure Major and Critical capacity usage.
  • Enable or disable the Plan column to display forecasting data.
  • Allow resource usage outside the Capacity Area.

To modify Booking Intervals or Capacity Categories, use the corresponding action buttons.

Note: The application now recalculates quotas automatically based on target quota dates and booking request dates. Manual quota recalculation is no longer available because quota updates are fully automated.

Business Benefit

  • Improved efficiency: Centralized settings and automated recalculation reduce effort and manual work.
  • Simplified user experience: A single, streamlined location for quota and capacity management improves usability and reduces errors.
