Legacy GIS Integration Deprecation

The Legacy GIS Integration is deprecated as of this release; the deprecation was announced on April 3, 2026. It uses a GIS JAR published through ArcMap and supports legacy inbound synchronization and token-based authentication for Asset Outbound Sync and Work Location Outbound Sync.

Customers with an ArcMap-published GIS service can continue using their existing integration during the deprecation period. Because ArcMap is retired, the GIS JAR cannot be republished, and no new enhancements will be provided. Sustaining support remains available during the deprecation period, subject to Oracle support guidance.

The supported replacement is the Oracle Utilities OIC-based GIS Integration. It provides file-based inbound integration and file- and message-based outbound integration without the GIS JAR or direct WACS-to-Esri communication.

This deprecation clarifies the supported GIS integration path, allowing you to assess and plan your GIS integration strategy, including a transition to the OIC-based integration when appropriate for your organization.
