Create Task Layouts

To create task layouts in Microsoft 365 for Redwood UX (the Microsoft Outlook add-in), you add new fields to the add-in UI.

Create Task Layouts in Oracle Sales for Outlook

Here's how to create task layouts:

  1. Sign in as a setup user.
  2. Ensure you're working in an active sandbox where Application Composer is enabled.
  3. Navigate to Tools > Application Composer > Productivity Applications Setup > Oracle Sales for Outlook.
  4. Go to Task > Edit.
  5. Click next to the Task Edit default layout.
  6. Enter the layout name, for example, AccountType, and select it. As long as the status is In progress, this layout will be active.
  7. In the application layout, click Add Field.
  8. Search for and select AccountType.
  9. To configure the layout change when the status is In progress:
    1. Click Advanced Criteria.
    2. Click Add Criteria.
    3. Select Status in the Field drop-down list.
    4. Select Equal to in the Operator drop-down list.
    5. Select In progress in the Value drop-down list.
  10. Save your changes.

To create additional layouts:

  1. In the Oracle Sales for Outlook tab, go to Task > Edit.
  2. Click next to the Task Edit default layout.
  3. Enter the layout name, for example, Custom Layout 2, and select it.
  4. In the application layout, click Add Field.
  5. Search for and select SubType.
  6. To configure the layout change when the status is Complete:
    1. Go to Advanced Criteria > Add Criteria.
    2. Select Status in the Field drop-down list.
    3. Select Equal to in the Operator drop-down list.
    4. Select Complete in the Value drop-down list.
  7. Save your changes.

Validate your Changes in the Microsoft Outlook Add-In

  1. In the Outlook add-in, make sure you're signed in to Oracle Sales.
  2. Go to More Options > Create Follow Up.
  3. Select In progress in Status. Custom Layout 1 should be displayed.
  4. Select Complete in Status. Custom Layout 2 should be displayed.
