Knowledge Search Aggregation

Use this scheduled process to aggregate data on the number of knowledge base searches that users have performed.

This scheduled process takes data from action capture tables, moves them to analytics staging tables for processing, and writes them to analytics aggregate tables. The process updates the cso_search_stats, cso_rpt_questions, cso_rpt_clickthroughs and cso_search_tokens reporting tables with the aggregated data.

When to Use

You can run this process any time after you configure the knowledge management functional area.

Verify that you have the following privileges:

  • SVC_SCHEDULE_SERVICE_JOBS_PRIV

Verify that you have the following roles:

  • Knowledge Manager role

Before You Start

Review the following before scheduling this scheduled process:

  • Recommended Frequency:

    • We recommend that you schedule this process to run automatically every hour by setting the frequency as Hourly/Minute, and the time between runs as one hour. Once started, this process runs continuously and aggregates new data every hour.

  • Execution Time:

    • Within one hour

  • Compatibility:

    • This process depends on the Service process, Refresh Service Categories for Reporting, and on the Analytics process, Refresh Denormalized Time Dimension Table for BI.     • You can't run more than one instance of this scheduled process at the same time. If you submit multiple instances, the first instance runs, and subsequent instances are blocked until it completes.
