You can create custom roles that can be made up of various privileges.

For example, if you want to provide a user with a role that allows read-only access to review the recall task progress and trace details for the recalled parts but not create or update a recall notice or task, then:

  1. Create a custom role with these privileges:

    • View Product Recall Notices

    • Recall Management Console Inquiry

    • Get Enterprise Structures Using REST Service

    • View Subinventory and Locator List of Values by Web Service

    • View Inventory Organization Parameters List of Values by Web Service

  2. Assign that custom role to the user

    Note: You must have the Recall Management Console Inquiry privilege to open notifications.
