Edit a Planning Level Profile

How you edit a planning level profile depends on its status and inclusion in demand plans.

This table explains how you can edit planning level profiles:

    • Ready to Draft or Disabled (Existing, aggregated data is lost the next time the Aggregated Collected Planning Data scheduled process is run for any profile or all profiles in the Enabled or Ready status, and the planning level profile can't be used in plans.)
    • Ready to Enabled (The planning level profile can't be used in plans. Existing, aggregated data is replaced the next time the Aggregated Collected Planning Data scheduled process is run for this profile or all profiles in the Enabled or Ready status.)
Ready Yes, but the plan isn't successfully run Name and description (The information is automatically updated in the demand plan.)
Ready Yes, and the plan is successfully run No change is permitted.
Note: If you delete the demand plan to which you've attached the planning level profile, you can make the permissible edits for a profile that's in the Ready status but isn't attached to a plan.
Marked for delete Not applicable No change is permitted.
Tip: If a planning level profile is used in a demand plan, the Yes link is displayed in the In Plans column on the Manage Planning Level Profiles page. Click the link to open the Associations: <name of planning level profile> dialog box that lists the names and descriptions of the demand plans that include the planning level profile.
  1. In the Demand Management work area, on the Tasks panel tab, in Configuration, click Manage Planning Level Profiles.
    The Manage Planning Level Profiles page opens.
  2. Select your planning level profile, and click the Edit icon.
    The Edit Planning Level Profile: <name of planning level profile> dialog box opens.
  3. Make the changes that are permitted by your planning level profile's status and inclusion in demand plans.
  4. Click Save and Close.
