Rescheduling of Orders During Bottom-up Phase of Multiechelon Replenishment Planning

During the bottom-up phase of multiechelon replenishment planning, movement requests, purchase orders, purchase requisitions, or transfer orders that aren't firm are rescheduled so that excess planned orders aren't created.

Note these points about the rescheduling of these order types:

• In the Supplies and Demands table for a multiechelon replenishment plan, the value in the Action column is Reschedule in for rescheduled movement requests, purchase orders, purchase requisitions, or transfer orders.
• Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management don't support the rescheduling of purchase requisitions and movement requests respectively.

  For this reason, in the Supplies and Demands table, the value in the Release Status column is Ineligible for rescheduled purchase requisitions and movement requests.

  You can't release rescheduled purchase requisitions and movement requests.

• For rescheduled purchase orders and transfer orders, the value in the Release Status column is Release.

  If you mark such purchase orders and transfer orders for release, the value in the Release Status column changes to Marked for reschedule.

• After multiechelon replenishment planning, rescheduled purchase orders and transfer orders are automatically released if you selected the Include rescheduled supplies in automatic releases check box in the Automatic Release Parameters section on the General subtab on the Supply tab on the Plan Options page.

  Otherwise, you must manually release these rescheduled purchase orders and transfer orders using the Supplies and Demands table.

• Lead-time and supply constraints at the source locations might prevent such rescheduling.
• The rescheduling of movement requests, purchase orders, purchase requisitions, or transfer orders happens after end item substitution and supersession are performed.
