Enrich Your Product Information From an External Healthcare Catalog

After a basic item is created in Oracle Product Hub, you can enrich your supply chain item master with trading partner information, standardized codes, GUDID information, product classifications, and product operational information from an external healthcare catalog provider with a predefined integration. Using this feature, you can:

• Publish the item master items to the External Healthcare Catalog seamlessly.
• Eliminate duplicate items with autocleansing and deduplication capabilities from the External Healthcare catalog.
• Enrich item attributes and classify items quickly and accurately.
• Quickly find and identify items with well-structured descriptions.
• Speed up the ability to transact with the item for your supply chain and clinical processes.
• Reduce errors due to manual maintenance thereby accelerating the item add and introduction processes.

Prerequisites

Before enriching the item master, make sure you have done the following:

• A license agreement with an external healthcare catalog provider.
• Deploy existing healthcare library. The standard integration with external healthcare catalog provider works with the predefined healthcare library. For additional details about healthcare library, see Use Predefined Extensible Flexfield Attributes for Maintaining Healthcare Product Data.
• Create an integration user for the External Healthcare Catalog provider with the following security privileges to process the enrichment:
  • Create Trading Partner (EGP_CREATE_TRADING_PARTNER)
  • Manage Item Manufacturer (EGP_MANAGE_ITEM_MANUFACTURER)
  • Modify Trading Partners (EGP_MODIFY_TRADING_PARTNER)
  • Import Item (EGP_IMPORT_ITEM)
  • Manage Item (EGP_MANAGE_ITEM)
  • Manage Item Attachment (EGP_MANAGE_ITEM_ATTACHMENT)
  • Manage Item Batch (EGI_MANAGE_ITEM_BATCH)
  • Manage Product Upload (EGS_MANAGE_PRODUCT_UPLOAD)
