Financial Reviews

The Sales and Operations Planning financial review process provides visibility into financial metrics. You can compare operational plans with the business plan and financial budget. You can review revenue, costs, margins, inventory value, and other performance measures.

You can identify whether overall revenue and profits are tracking to plan, and identify key areas of improvement.

The Financial Review dashboard in the Sales and Operations Planning work area has five predefined infotiles that provide you with visibility into revenue and profit details:

• Plan versus Forecast: Compares the Operating Plan Value and Financial Forecast Value. The Operating Plan Value is the sum of the values of Shipment History and the Constrained Forecast value.

• Unmet Revenue: Displays unmet revenue, which is calculated based on the value of demand that cannot be met on time.

• Cost Comparison: View the manufacturing, purchase, carrying, and shipping costs.

• Gross Margin: Displays the overall gross margin between revenue and cost.

• Revenue and Gross Margin Percentage: Displays the revenue and gross margin percentage.
