How You View Lot and Serial Number Information

For each product genealogy record, you can view the lot and serial number information of the product instance. On the Review Product Genealogy page, in the search results, select the record for which you want to view the lot or serial information. From the record menu, select: Information. The Information dialog box opens. The information is displayed based on the type of product instance of the record.

If the product instance is lot control enabled, then the Information dialog box is displayed with the following tabs:

Lot Details: Displays the lot number-specific details of the product instance. The dialog box shows details such as the lot, item, lot status, material status, expiration date, and so on.
On Hand: Displays lot quantities that are available in the warehouse.
Issued: Displays lot quantities that are issued to the work orders.
Shipped: Displays lot quantities that are shipped to the customers.

If the product instance is serial control enabled, then the Information dialog box is displayed with the serial number-specific details of the product instance. The dialog box shows details such as the serial number, item, usage, material status, organization, subinventory, and so on.

If the product instance is serial control and lot control enabled, then the Information dialog box is displayed with the following tabs:

Serial Details: Displays the serial number-specific details of the product instance. The dialog box shows details such as the serial number, item, usage, material status, organization, subinventory, and so on.
Lot Details: Displays the lot number-specific details of the product instance. The dialog box shows details such as the lot, item, lot status, material status, expiration date, and so on.
