How do I split and repack LPNs?
Use the Repack LPN task or use the Item Quantities task in Inventory Execution work area to repack License Plate Numbers (LPNs).
You can perform the Repack LPN action to transfer the contents of an LPN to a new LPN only when the LPNs are in an In inventory status.
This initiates a transfer action to move the LPN contents into a new LPN with an In inventory LPN status or to an existing LPN, available in the same location.
Additional LPN actions include:
- LPN Pack - Packs loose material in a location into an LPN after ensuring that the corresponding subinventory and locator have an LPN setup of packed and loose items.
- LPN Unpack - Unpacks packed material in a location into loose after ensuring that the corresponding subinventory and locator have an LPN setup of packed and loose items.
- LPN Split - Breaks and distributes an LPN's packed contents into one or more LPNs.
Optionally, you can perform these LPN-triggered transactions using mobile inventory:
- Issue an LPN using the Miscellaneous Issue transactions
- Move an LPN from one location to another using the Subinventory Transfer transactions
- Move the LPN from one organization to another organization using the Interorganization Transfer transactions
The transfer of an LPN from an LPN-enabled subinventory to a subinventory that's not LPN enabled implicitly unpacks the material in the destination subinventory.
- In the Inventory Management mobile page, click the Miscellaneous Transactions task, and then select the organization that is LPN enabled.
- Click the Repack LPN task to create repack LPN transaction.
- Enter or scan the LPN barcode and click Continue.
- Click Transfer All to transfer all the items to a new LPN at once.
-
Optionally, split the packed LPNs and transfer the items individually to new
LPNs.
- Click the item card and provide the required item details, such as lot numbers, serial numbers etc.
- Enter the new LPN in the To LPN to split the LPNs, and then click Submit.
