Copy Data Between Measures
This topic provides steps to copy measure data from one plan to another or within a plan in Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning.
Before you start
Ensure that the source and target plans have run without errors. Otherwise, they won't be available for selection in the Plan fields. Here's what to do
-
In the Demand Management, Demand and Supply Planning, or Sales and Operations
Planning work area, on the Tasks panel tab, under Plans, click Load
Measures from Other Plans.
The Load Measures from Other Plans page opens.
-
Select for and select a source plan and target plan.
The target plan is automatically selected as the source plan and can't be changed in these cases:
- In the Demand and Supply Planning work area, you selected a demand and supply plan as the source plan.
- In the Sales and Operations Planning work area, you selected a sales and operations plan as the source plan.
If your source plan is a demand plan, the target plan is set to the same demand plan, but you can change the default selection.
On the page, you can view information about the descriptions, measure catalogs, planning calendars, planning time levels, and planning level profiles (if any) for the source and target plans.
-
To create combinations in the target plan for the source measures for which data
is copied, select Create new combinations in the To Plan
pane.
The combinations are created within the scope of the target plan if they don't already exist there.
If you don't select this checkbox, data isn't copied for source plan combinations that don't exist in the target plan.
-
In the To Plan pane, in the section named Copy Range Relative to Start Date, enter
nonzero integers in the Time Level Range Start and
Time Level Range End fields for the time-level range for
which data must be copied.
For historical periods, use negative integers. For the historical time bucket just before the plan start date, enter –1. For the first time bucket, enter 1. You can copy data for historical or future time buckets. You can copy data for a time-level range in the past, from a historical time bucket to a future time bucket, or between two future time buckets.
The Copy Time Level field is read-only and displays the planning time level for copying data from the source plan to the target plan.
-
In the Measure Mapping pane, perform these steps:
- Click Apply Measure Copy Set to open a dialog box in
which you can search for and select a measure copy set that's applicable to
your source and target plans.
When you select a measure copy set, the dialog box displays the source and target measures.
Click Apply.
If the selected measure copy set contains measure mappings that aren't valid for your source and target plans, a message is displayed.
If there are any existing measure mappings for the source and target plans on the page, a warning message is displayed that the selected measure copy set will replace the existing measure mappings.
You can add rows after applying a measure copy set.
- To select source and target measures, click Add
Row.
A row is displayed.
- In Source Measure, select a measure.
- In Target Measure, select a measure.
Only measures that are compatible with the source measure are available for selection.
If you're copying measure data between plans, by default, the source measure is automatically selected as the target measure if it's in the measure catalog of the target plan.
If you're copying measure data within the plan, the source measure isn't available for selection as the target measure.
- Add more rows for source and target measures as required.
You can't select a measure as a source measure or target measure more than once.
- To delete a measure mapping row, select it, and click
Delete.
Click Yes in the displayed dialog box.
- To save the selected measure mappings for future use, click Save as
Measure Copy Set.
In the Save as Measure Copy Set dialog box, enter a name and description for the measure copy set.
To replace an existing measure copy set, select the Overwrite existing checkbox, and select the measure copy set that must be overwritten.
Click Save and Close to return to the Load Measures from Other Plans page.
- To delete a measure copy set, click Delete Measure Copy
Set.
Select the measure copy set, and click Delete.
Click Yes in the dialog box to return to the Load Measures from Other Plans page.
- Click Apply Measure Copy Set to open a dialog box in
which you can search for and select a measure copy set that's applicable to
your source and target plans.
-
Click Submit to run the scheduled process named
Orchestrate Load Measures Processes.
The Status dialog box opens and displays the request number. You can use this request number to search for the result of the scheduled process in the Scheduled Processes work area.
-
Click OK.
The Load Measures from Other Plans page is closed.
