Cancel a Job Offer

You can cancel a job offer for a candidate when the offer is rejected by the employer or the candidate has withdrawn.

You can use the Cancel Offer action when the job applications are in the following phases and states:

• Job Offer phase, with the Approved, Extended, or Accepted state.
• Custom phases after the Job Offer phase.
• HR phase, all states except Processed.

Before you start

You need the privilege Cancel Job Offer (IRC_CANCEL_JOB_OFFER_PRIV).

Here's what to do

1. Open a job requisition and go to the list of job applications.
2. Select a job application.
3. Select the Cancel Offer action.
4. On the Cancel Offer page, complete these fields:
   • Phase: The phase is displayed in read-only mode.
   • State: The state is defaulted to Rejected by Employer, but you can change it to Withdrawn by Candidate if needed.
   • Comment: You can enter the reason for rejecting the candidate application.
5. Click Submit.

Results:

An alert is sent to the offer team (hiring manager and collaborators) to inform them that the offer was canceled.
