Review Skills Center settings
- Go to My Client Groups > Profiles > Profile Types and edit Person.
- Go to the Skills Center section and edit to open it.
- If the Active checkbox isn't selected, select it and then select Apply.
- On the Person page, reopen the Skills Center section.
-
In the Skill row, select the Edit icon. From
Value Set Name, select the skill libraries that you
want to expose in Skills Center.
Note: Only the libraries you select here are available to users. Use this setting when you add a custom library or change the libraries that you want to make available.
- Select Apply.
- To associate a rating model for skills, select the Edit icon in the Skill Level row.
-
In Value Set Name, select the rating model that you want
to use. If you don't want to display skill levels, select Hide from
the Display LOV.
Note: You can't change the rating model after you set it. If you don't plan to use skill levels now, consider associating a simple one-level rating model and hiding it. This gives you more flexibility later.
Rating Model Best Practice: Designing a skills rating model works best when the scale is intentionally small, behavior-based, and anchored to observable evidence. In practice, 3– and 5–point models are easier for employees and managers to apply consistently than wider scales (like 1–9), because they reduce “false precision” and limit debates about marginal differences.
- To configure rating models, go to My Client Groups > Profiles > Profile Rating Models.
