Setting Task Manager Governors

In Task Manager, you can set governors on various system settings and the system provides default settings which you can decrease or increase up to the maximum value. For example, you can specify the maximum number of rows to display in lists.

  • Maximum Number of Items displayed in a List: Determines the maximum number of rows displayed in a List view; for example, Schedule Tasks.
  • Maximum Approver Levels: Determine the number of levels that a task might be reviewed.
  • Select maximum file upload size (MB): Determines the maximum attachment file size that users can upload. This setting helps administrators adapt to work within limitations of the environment in which the application is installed.

To set Task Manager governors:

  1. On the Home page, click Application, and then click Task Manager.

  2. Click the System Settings tab on the left.

  3. On the Manage System Settings page, click Governors.

  4. Specify a maximum value or leave the default setting:

    • Maximum Number of Items displayed in a List: The default is 10000.

    • Maximum Approver Levels: Select a value from 1 to 10.

    • Select maximum file upload size (MB): Select a value from 5 MB, with incremental values of 5 MB, up to 100 MB.

  5. In the Reports section, change the setting only if instructed by Oracle Support.
  6. Click Save.
