Creating Substitution Variables

Substitution variables act as global placeholders for information that changes regularly. For example, you could set the current month member to the substitution variable CurMnth so that when the month changes, you do not need to manually update the month value in the form or the report script.

To create a substitution variable

  1. From the Home page, select Tools, and then Variables.
