Using Clear Data Jobs

After you select members for the Clear Data process, you can save them as a Clear Data Jobs. This enables you to later retrieve the information for the Clear Data process without needing to make member selections again.

When you select Clear Data, the system displays a list of clear jobs that you have saved. You can select a job and run the Clear Data process, edit a job and save it, or save as a modified job. You can duplicate an existing job, and delete any jobs that you no longer need.

Creating a Clear Data Job

To create a Clear Data Job:

  1. On the Home page, click Application.
  2. Click Overview, then from Actions, select Clear Data.
  3. Select the items that you want to clear.
  4. Click Save.
  5. From Save Clear Job, enter a job Name and Description, then click Save. The Name must be a unique name with a maximum of 30 characters. The Description has a maximum of 128 characters.
  6. From the saved confirmation message, click OK.

The job is displayed on the Clear Data job list.

Editing a Clear Data Job

To edit a Clear Data Job:

  1. From the Clear Data job list, select a job to open it.
  2. Edit your selections as required.
  3. Click Save. You can save the job with the same name, or change the name as needed.
  4. Click Save As to save the modified job as a new job, then enter a Name and Description.

Duplicating a Clear Data Job

  1. From the Clear Data Job list, select a job.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Duplicate.

The duplicate job is displayed on the Clear Data Job list, with the suffix "_Copy". For example, if you duplicate the Test_Clear_Job, the duplicate job is named Test_Clear_Job _Copy.

Deleting a Clear Data Job

To delete a Clear Data Job:

  1. From the Clear Data Job list, select a job.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Delete.
  3. From the confirmation prompt to delete the selected job, click Confirm.
  4. From the job deleted confirmation, click OK.
