Calculating RTA Deferred Tax

Tax Reporting calculates your company’s deferred tax on assets and liabilities for tax provisioning purposes for both National and Regional accounts. See also Working with National Deferred Tax and Working with Regional Deferred Tax.

The current year tax rate can be different than the Return to Accrual tax rate and apportionment rate in the prior year(s). Tax Reporting uses the P13 tax rate and apportionment rate to tax affect the Return to Accrual (Deferred Only) movement in deferred tax National and Regional forms.

In the event there is a regional RTA that is deductible for National (US Taxed entities), the regional RTA will be tax effected at the National P13 tax rate for the Net Benefit of Region (NBR).

The ApplyPriorYearP13P12DifferenceRate custom attribute is applied to the TRCS_RTADO movement member and then deferred tax in the Return to Accrual (Deferred Only) is calculated.
