Setting Metadata

Create the account alternate hierarchy by grouping the Book account and Tax account as shown in below example. See also: Creating Alternate Hierarchies in Administering Tax Reporting

Example below has two use cases created using alternate hierarchies.

  1. TotalBadDebtsAllowance parent has Total Bad Debts book account and Financial Assets - Temporary difference account as shared members.
  2. TotalCarryforwardLosses parent has Total Tax Loss Carryforward book account and Tax losses carryforward automated – Temporary difference account as shared members.

  3. After creating the alternate hierarchy, refresh the database.
