Claim Status

Claim statuses reflect different aspects of the claim. Some statuses act as requirements for other claim actions. Claim statuses are defined by two values: Status Types and Status Values.

Note: You can search for orders based on the Status Type and Value using the Status tab on the Bill Manager Search page. Additionally, you can view all status types and values on this tab.

You can dfine which statuses are displayed for each user by creating a status type filter and then using Manage User Access to associate the User Access Type of Status Type Filter with a particular user. When you have done so, a small arrow appears near the top of the Status window. Clicking the arrow displays all of the statuses, not just the ones displayed by the filter. Bold statuses are ones that appear in the filter, and regular ones are statuses hidden by the filter.

Claims are assigned the following Status Types:

  • SUSTAINABLE identifies whether the claim has enough information to continue processing. The default status is unsustainable; it does not have enough information to process. If it is sustainable, it has enough information to process.  A claim only becomes sustainable when the Mark Claim Sustainable action has been performed. This status will allow the Estimate Damage Value action to run.
  • RESOLVED indicates the general state for the claim; if it has been reviewed or resolved. Not_reviewed is the default. Reviewed indicates that the claim has been reviewed by the appropriate Oracle Transportation Management user. A claim only becomes reviewed when the Mark Claim Reviewed action has been performed. Resolved_resolved means the entire claim has been resolved and needs no further attention. A claim only becomes resolved when the Resolve Claim action has been performed.
