Gross and Net Weight/Volume per Ship Unit

The Gross and Net Weight/Volume per Ship Unit fields define the respective weight and volume for each ship unit. These values in conjunction with the Ship Unit Count are used to calculate the Total Weight and Total Volume for the order. If you leave these fields blank, Oracle Transportation Management can also calculate these values for ship units when an order is released.

On the order release ship unit line the Weight/Volume per Ship Unit fields allow you to record the weight/volume that a packaged item uses per ship unit.

Note: If you selected a Ship Unit Specification in the Ship Unit Specification field, the Gross Weight and Gross Volume fields are populated with the Tare Weight and Effective Volume fields defined for the Ship Unit Specifications in Power Data.

You can accept these default values or override them.
