Product Classification Templates

This page is accessed via Classification> Product Classification Templates.

Use this page to view existing product templates or to create new ones. The details entered on this page will be copied onto an object when this template is applied to the object.

Creating a Product Classification Template

1. Enter an ID for the template in the Product Classification Template ID field.
2. Enter the template's name in the Name field.
3. Select the domain in which this template will be used from the Domain Name drop-down list.
4. Enter a description in the Description field.

Product Classification Template Details

1. Enter a classification type in the Product Classification Type ID field.
2. Enter a classification code in the Product Classification Code field.
3. Enter an ID in the Tariff Rules of Interpretation ID field.
4. Enter a number in the Binding Ruling Number field. Binding rulings could be used to justify a decision to use a particular product classification code for a particular item.
5. Enter the date from when the binding ruling is effective in the Binding Ruling Effective Date field.
6. Enter the date till when the binding ruling is effective in the Binding Ruling Expiration Date field.
7. Select the purpose of the classification code from the Purpose drop-down list.
8. Click Save.
9. Continue to add as many types as you require, clicking Save after each entry.
10. Click Finished.
