Rail Intermodal Service Plan Codes

Rail Intermodal Service Plan Codes specify the type of intermodal service plans to be used in rail shipments.
- In the Rail Intermodal Service Plan ID field, enter a two-digit code specifying the type of intermodal service plan for a rail shipment (for example, 15 for Plan 15, ramp-to-ramp). These codes are determined by the American Association of Railroads (AAR).
- In the Unit Owner field, enter the type of carrier (for example, rail or steamship).
- In the Service Provided field, enter the type of service provided by a carrier (for example, ramp-to-ramp, door-to-door).
- In the Charge Determination field, enter a brief description of the type of charges that apply to the shipment (for example, truck competitive rates or patron supplied equipment).
