Contract and Rate Management

About the Logistics Guide

The logistics guide provides an easy way to view all transportation pricing between an origin and related destinations. In addition, it combines the view of single leg rates with multi-leg total costs converted to look like single leg rates. You have the ability to configure the input and results.

There are several components to this: Setup and Execution.

Setup includes:

  • loading locations and rates
  • adding order release templates containing details about order weight, mode, etc.
  • creating a Logistics Guide template that specifies the order templates, origin - destination pairs, etc.

Execution includes:

  • running the Build Logistics Guide process. This initiates the creation of the logistics guide.
  • querying on the logistics guide and aggregating by mode, equipment, or itinerary profile. This can be for a single source/destination pair or all source/destination pairs.
