Order Base: Ship Unit Summary

This page is accessed via Order Management> Purchase Order > Order Base. Click the Ship Unit tab.

The Ship Unit tab lets you describe the ship units on an order. For example, you can record the number of boxes, pallets, totes, etc. that you are shipping. Oracle Transportation Management uses ship units in the planning process to bundle orders and create shipments. Additionally, you can specify the detailed line items in the ship units as well.

  1. You can edit a ship unit after it is added.

    Note: Any changes that you make to order base ship units are not automatically reflected on order releases that have been previously created from the order. You would need to delete the order releases and re-release the ship unit based on the changes that you make.

  2. Click New Ship Unit to create a ship unit and record its detail.
