Understand Shipment Risk
The Command Center distinguishes between upcoming fulfillment demand and work that requires more immediate attention.
Fulfillment window and risk window
The fulfillment window identifies upcoming orders that require fulfillment. The risk window identifies a more urgent subset approaching its shipment cutoff.
In Order Analysis, the order population includes orders in Created or Partially Allocated status. Fully allocated, shipped, canceled, and closed orders are excluded.
Picking and Replenishment Analysis use the risk window to identify execution issues that could affect shipment commitments.
Compare risk counts carefully
Risk measures differ by agent. Wave uses eligible order status and deadline proximity. Order Analysis counts its filtered population within a date horizon. Picking compares estimated clearing time with remaining shipment time. Replenishment counts orders linked to outstanding replenishment. The resulting counts need not match.
Understand overdue orders
The main Picking analysis includes upcoming deadlines and excludes overdue deadlines. Its shorted-order analysis also includes up to 24 hours of overdue work. Replenishment includes qualifying cutoffs from the start of yesterday in facility time. These differences can explain why an order appears in one panel but not another.
Remaining time to ship
WMS calculates remaining time using the estimated departure date and time on the Outbound Load. If that value is unavailable, WMS uses 23:59 on the order’s Required Ship Date.
In the Ask Oracle order response, shipped orders show a remaining time of 00:00.
Check deadline interpretation
Where multiple planned loads apply, Picking and Replenishment use the earliest valid departure. Without a departure, the inspected workflows interpret ship dates differently: Wave and Order use UTC-based handling; Picking uses an offset from the order creation timestamp; Replenishment uses 23:59:59 in the default facility timezone. Administrators should verify orders near midnight and daylight saving changes before comparing panels.
Allocation percentage
Allocation percentage shows how much of the required order quantity has been allocated:
Allocation % = Total Allocated Quantity ÷ Total Required Order Quantity × 100
Use this value with the order’s remaining shipment time to understand how much allocation work remains.
Distinguish order and wave percentages
The Order Analysis summary uses allocated quantity divided by ordered quantity for its included fulfillment population. Wave allocation percentage averages eligible order-detail allocation ratios and may differ from a simple total-allocated-to-total-ordered calculation. Wave cubing percentage is also based on applicable order and container associations.
Historical metrics and upcoming risk
Historical activity periods are separate from the configurable fulfillment and risk windows.
| Measure | Period |
|---|---|
| Waves included in the initial Wave Analysis view | Previous 24 hours |
| Total units picked or replenished | Previous 8 hours |
| Recent picking or replenishment activity | Previous 1 hour |
| Upcoming orders evaluated for fulfillment and risk | Configured facility windows |
Changing the risk window does not change the fixed 8-hour throughput metric.
