Supported Databases

This topic provides an overview on the types of databases supported by the plug-in.

The following databases are supported by Oracle® Database Navigator plug-in to establish a connection:

• Oracle database
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• SQLite
• Any custom JDBC compliant database (experimental)

Apart from the database types listed above, custom JDBC compliant databases (experimental) are also supported by the plug-in.

The Import TNS Names option allows you to import and configure connections from existing tnsnames.ora config files. On selecting this option, you can access any existing tnsnames.ora file or wallet that will list all available connection profiles. You can choose the profile you want to import and connect.
