2 Database Connection Management

This chapter provides an overview of managing database connections.

Oracle Database Navigator tool provides ability to configure multiple database connections at the project level. You can perform the following as part of managing database connections:

• Create new connections for various databases
• View database connection states
• Edit connections
• Disconnect from database and delete connections
• Configure driver settings to establish connection
• Change user credentials
• View connection session details in the session browser
• Enable database logging
• Configure debug engine
• Select database objects to view in the connection and add filters to the objects
