8.5.4.1 Controls

A few controls in the Controls panel box have special behaviors than the ones of a Resource Broker created domain.

  • Save

At the first time saving of the loaded existing Tuxedo domain, the application home targets are created automatically. The application home path is determined by the corresponding APPDIR on each machine. It is the parent directory of APPDIR.

A window for collecting the credential information of each machine in the Tuxedo domain is displayed after the validation phase. The credential information is used by the subsequent deployment actions, especially for the dynamic deployment.

Once the domain is saved, it is turned to a Resource Broker managed domain, which means the domain configuration status will be maintained on OMS side and all the changes made directly to the Tuxedo domain backend will not be detected by Resource Broker anymore.

  • Deploy

During a full deployment, the APPDIR path is kept unchanged. This requires that the provided credential must has write permission to the application home (the parent directory of APPDIR), otherwise the deployment will fail.

In boot phase, you need to customize the boot script to provide any required environment variables.
