Institution Manager

The institution manager reviews pending participant transfers associated with the organization’s manager/escrow account.

The institution manager can approve a direct manager action or complete a transfer after its configured approval sequence is satisfied; it can also reject a pending transfer. Sequential approval-policy steps are handled by the configured bank approver account.

Before you can complete institution manager tasks, you must be a member of the Institution Manager application group for the organization with the required Escrow ledger role.

Typically the institution manager completes tasks in the following order.

  1. Select Pending Transfers.
  2. Review the source, destination, amount, purpose, and operation ID.
  3. For an eligible row, select Approve or Complete, or select Reject. Choose multiple eligible requests to approve them in bulk. (You cannot reject multiple requests at a time. Each rejection requires a reason for rejection.)
  4. Refresh and confirm the result in the action history.

For a direct manager action, approval completes the pending transfer. For a policy-controlled transfer, the Complete command is available only after the configured approval sequence is satisfied. Rejection stops the pending transfer; it does not settle. The request leaves the Pending Transfers window and is displayed in the history with its terminal state.

Troubleshooting

If encounter a problem or error, confirm that the account is active, the request is still pending, and the current manager is authorized for the request. If a row is no longer displayed, check the history before asking the sender to submit the request again.
