Build a Sample Essbase Application

Build the Sample Basic application to explore an Essbase cube before you create your own application.

The Sample_Basic.xlsx application workbook is in the gallery folder of the Essbase file catalog.

1. On the Applications page, click Import.
2. In the Import dialog box, click Catalog.
3. Navigate to gallery > Applications > Demo Samples > Block Storage.
4. Select Sample_Basic.xlsx, and then click Select.
5. Click OK.

Essbase creates the Sample application and the Basic cube. You can now open the Basic cube and explore its outline and data.

Sample Basic is a simple example cube for exploring Essbase concepts and features.
