2 Quick Start

Here are suggestions to get you up and running on Essbase on Autonomous AI Lakehouse.

• Before You Begin
  Before you begin, make sure that your organization has an Oracle Cloud account and access to the Autonomous AI Database instance where Essbase is available. You also need the permissions required to use Essbase.
• Launch Essbase
  You enable and launch Essbase from the Autonomous AI Database instance in OCI.
• Configure Catalog Object Storage
  Configure an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage bucket for the Essbase file catalog. Essbase on Autonomous AI Lakehouse uses the file catalog internally for many features. Perform this one-time configuration before users begin using Essbase.
• Build a Sample Essbase Application
  Build the Sample Basic application to explore an Essbase cube before you create your own application.
