Start with your Lakehouse data

Begin with the business data already available in Autonomous AI Lakehouse.

Identify the data that supplies the detailed values in your cube. For example, a sales data set might contain values for product, market, date, revenue, cost, and units. These values must correspond to the dimensions, members, and measures you defined in the Essbase outline.

Before bringing data into the cube, check that:

• Source values can be associated with members in the outline.

• Measures have the expected numeric values and units.

• Time values correspond to the periods in your Time dimension.

• Data is available at the level of detail required by the cube.

• Null, missing, or unexpected values are handled appropriately.
