Prepare Data for Analysis

Prepare the business data that will populate the dimensions, members, and measures in your Essbase cube.

By this point, you have designed the dimensional model and decided whether to use an ASO or BSO cube. Now look at the data in Autonomous AI Lakehouse and determine how it corresponds to that model.

• Start with your Lakehouse data
  Begin with the business data already available in Autonomous AI Lakehouse.
• Align the data with the cube model
  Think about the grain of the source data: what does one source record represent?
• Connect to other sources when needed
  Your Lakehouse data should be the natural starting point. If the application also requires supported data outside the Lakehouse, you can create Essbase connections and Datasources for those sources.
