1. How many exam attempts do I get if I purchase the Oracle Cloud Learning Subscription?
We have implemented a new policy to allow Oracle University Cloud Learning subscription customers to take THREE exams per year when they purchase the learning subscription. We are no longer selling exam vouchers, rather we provide users THREE exam attempts within their learning subscription that can be used in a flexible manner. If someone does not have a subscription, they can still purchase an exam attempt from Oracle University similar to what they have done in the past to buy exam vouchers.
Note that this does not apply to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Learning Subscription where the learning subscription is free and customers have to purchase exam attempts from here.

2. What are the exams offered by Oracle effective September 1, 2022?
Effective September 1, 2022, All Oracle certification exams will be delivered directly by Oracle (except for Chinese and Japanese Language exams for Oracle Database, Java, and MySQL). If you have a specific question, log a ticket.

3. Can I schedule to take an exam beyond my learning or exam subscription expiration date?
No. You will need to schedule and take the exam before the subscription expiration date.

4. What are the topics and objectives covered in an exam and how do I best prepare for an exam?
The Oracle certification exams are designed to do more than assess your ability to complete the training materials and includes other related product resources.
Oracle has three levels of certification requiring corresponding levels of preparation.
- Foundations level exams require an understanding of the concepts and fundamentals.
- Associate level exams require at least six months of experience working with the product and may include questions covered in the related learning paths on MyLearn , Oracle documentation, and other product resources.
- Professional level exams require at least twelve months of extensive experience for the role and product covered in the certification exam and will most likely include questions in the related learning paths on MyLearn , Oracle documentation, and other product resources you would regularly use while working with the product. Oracle Certification exams are created based on comprehensive job task analysis that are aligned with specific job roles. They go beyond what is explicitly covered in the training, assessing individuals’ ability to apply skills at a higher level. With Oracle Certifications, you can be confident that your skills will be thoroughly tested and recognized by employers worldwide.

5. Will I get a free retake for the exam purchased?
No, you will not get a free retake for the purchased exam. You will need to apply one exam attempt every time you register and take the exam.

6. How do I purchase a certification exam delivered at Oracle?
Yes, you can purchase multiple exams for your company and administer the distribution of these exam attempts to your employees. Once the exam attempt is assigned to a user, it cannot be reassigned.

7. I already have exams purchased in MyLearn. How do I redeem?
Within your MyLearn account, search and find all available certification exams to schedule and register the exam. You will be prompted to apply available exam purchases during the registration process.

8. I have a learning subscription; do I need to pay again for the certification exam?
You may need to buy a certification exam if you have exhausted all the exam purchase attempts that you have received as part of your learning subscription. Some learning subscriptions do not come with any exam attempts.

9. How much time will it take for the exam purchase to show in my account after payment?
You will receive an email confirming your purchase. Once you click on the activation link in the email, your exam purchase will be deposited into your MyLearn account.

10. How can I purchase and assign exam attempts to myself or to others?
Option 1:
- Go to Oracle - Oracle Training and Certification
- Search for the exam
- Click on Add to cart
You will receive an email confirming your purchase. Once you click on the accept link in the email, your exam purchase will be deposited into your MyLearn account.
Option 2:
- Purchase a Certification Exam here Buy Oracle Training and Certifications
- Click on Add to cart in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Exam title

12. Is a learning subscription different from an Exam purchased?
- Yes, a learning subscription provides access to learning content, access to labs, exam preparation content, other learning content, and the ability to register for a certification exam.
- An exam purchase is an exam attempt valued at US$245 that is deposited in a learner’s MyLearn account and used to register for a certification exam at Oracle.

13. How do I purchase an Oracle Delivered Exam attempt and use it?
You can view your exam purchase history and all available and used attempts in the MyLearn dashboard.
- Login to MyLearn
- Click on the profile icon
- Check under My Learning DashBoard > My Exam Wallet

14. Can I transfer my exam purchase to my friend?
No, once your exam purchase is deposited into your MyLearn account, you will not be able to transfer to any other person.
