Migration

The Exadata Cloud Infrastructure Migration Automation Utility will discover and capture the configuration of the current environment and create input templates for the Oracle Exadata Cloud Infrastructure, cloud VM clusters, and databases. These templates can be modified as required to accommodate the intended migration target. The utility will validate the template, checking for any potential problems in the setup and configuration. Upon successful validation, the utility will provision a new Oracle Exadata Cloud Infrastructure, create desired cloud VM cluster, and migrate the databases. Databases are migrated with no downtime by instantiating standby databases on the target infrastructure and switching over to the standby on the target infrastructure. The utility simplifies hardware refreshes, shape transitions, and cross-service migrations while ensuring accuracy and full OCI auditability.

API Access Control

Lock Down Your Cloud APIs with Oracle API Access Control puts you in charge of who can use your vital REST APIs in Oracle Cloud databases by letting you mark sensitive APIs as “privileged.” Anyone who needs access submits a request, and a different authorized user approves it. This separation stops accidental or unauthorized changes—such as deleting key resources, like production databases.

Delegate Access Control

Delegate Access Control service enables Oracle Exadata Database Service on Cloud@Customer and Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure in OCI and Multicloud customers to subscribe to VM and database maintenance and support services, delegate access to service providers, and control when those service providers can access VM and database resources.

Operator Access Control

Oracle Operator Access Control enables you to grant, audit, and revoke the access Oracle has to your Exadata Infrastructure, Exadata Infrastructure hosting an Oracle Autonomous Database on Exadata Cloud@Customer, and Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster (client virtual machines deployed on Oracle Autonomous Database on Exadata Cloud@Customer) administered by Oracle, and to obtain audit reports of all actions taken by a human operator, in a near real-time manner.
